SACRED HEART SR. SEC. SCHOOL, CHANDIGARH MUN 2023
Vivek High School delegation of FIVE students, namely, Ananya Chugh (Grade 12), Shabeg Singh Pannu and Devansh Balasaria from Grade 10, Kush Balasaria and Ayaan Goswami from Grade 8 participated in the MUN Conference held from 13th – 15th October 2023.
The delegated were allotted various portfolios and they researched and debated on various agendas like, ‘Female Genital Mutilation with special emphasis on Sub Saharan African Region‘, ‘Ensuring Quality Education and increasing Access for E- Learning in Remote Areas’, ‘Deliberation upon Palestinian Statehood with Special Emphasis on Relevance of NPT and its Enforcement’ etc.
After two days of debating, our delegates won the following awards:
- Shabeg Singh Pannu represented Luxembourg in UNCSW comprising of 50 delegates and won Best Delegate award.
- Devansh Balasaria represented Poland in UNCSW comprising of 50 delegates and won Special Mention.
- Khush Balasaria represented Armenia in UNICEF comprising of 30 delegates and won Special Mention.
- Ayaan Goswami got Verbal Mention in UNICEF comprising of 30 delegates.
