A delegation of 20 students, namely, Meheramat Kaur (9 C), Vedant Garg (9 C), Anhad Singh Grewal (9 C) , Rubaniyat Sahi (9 C), Samiya Gupta (9 D), Abhay Kanwardeep Singh (9 D), Aanvi Bahri (10 A), Kaaynat Malhotra (10 A), Advai Singh Parkar (10 B), Adiv Singh Walia (10 B), Aaditya Kasrija (10 B), Sanand Singh (10 B), Yuvraj Rana (10 B), Tejasveer Singh Pathania (10 C), Saabiya Sidhu (10 C), Lavya Aggarwal (10 C), Gurjai Singh Sandhu (10 D), Abhitej Singh Virk (10 D), Jaitegh Singh (10 D) and Vibhi Chadha (10 D) accompanied by Ms. Neelu Duggal and Mrs. Shaveta Agnihotri attended the Model United Nations Conference at Cambridge University, London from 22nd to 24th September 2023.

Our delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with meticulous attention to detail by incorporating the essence of international relations, foreign policies and diplomacy on pertinent global agendas as follows:

  • Agrifood Systems of the Future and their implications on Food Security
  • Conflicts between the Turkish Government and Kurdish Minority Groups
  • Cultural Restoration of War Territories
  • Women in bottom-up Peacebuilding and Track II Diplomacy
  • Addressing the Potential Security Risk of Bio Tech Revolution in Military Affairs

Throughout the conference, the delegates deliberated, lobbied and collaborated to draft plausible resolutions. This experience allowed them to develop crucial skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking. Engaging with delegates from different backgrounds and perspectives fostered a truly dynamic environment, leading to a rich exchange of ideas and innovative solutions. Post-conference discussions on social and geopolitical issues with fellow delegates at international level further enhanced the educational value of the event.

Our delegates enthusiastically participated at CUIMUN and won the following awards at the international level:

Best Delegate (1st)Rubaniyat Sahi – in UNESCO consisting of 37 delegates;

High Commendation (2nd)Yuvraj Rana – in UNWOMEN consisting of 40 delegates;

Special Mention (3rd)Sanand Singh – in UNWOMEN consisting of 40 delegates.
