The Emerald Heights International School hosted the Round Square Conference 2024, centered around sustainability with the theme,’ Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.’ The delegates got the opportunity to interact with new friends during the ice-breaking sessions. The next day began with the opening ceremony. The keynote speaker, Mr. Dev Vasudevan, reinforced the conference’s theme by informing delegates about various migratory and endangered birds and their vital role in our environment, which led to lively Baraza discussions.
The delegates implemented their learning through a Sirpur Lake trip, a Ramsar Site for bird watching, and activities where they learned how wetlands provide habitat for various bird species.
They also participated in community service projects, visiting six different locations, ranging from senior citizens’ home to a school for hearing and visually impaired students, where they participated in interactive activities and distributed bags and shirts they had decorated themselves, in keeping with the theme of the world as one. A visit to Mandu, a heritage city adorned with breathtaking architectural gems, was an enriching experience for everyone. During the multicultural evening show , the delegates showcased their skills through dance performances, skits, and songs.
The conference offered a multitude of educational opportunities and valuable insight.
