INTACH FilmIt Heritage and Film Making Workshop
INTACH or the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, is recognized as one of the world’s largest heritage organizations, with over 190 participating regions across the country. INTACH has pioneered various activities such as the restoration of monuments, and their management, holding awareness workshops for teachers of various educational institutions, and heritage walks to various unprotected sites. It has also established heritage clubs in schools wherein they conduct activities like filmmaking, heritage quiz, poster making throughout the year.
This year in the month of July 2023, a film-making workshop was hosted by the Vivek High School and the efforts of our school were highly appreciated by the organizers.

INTACH FilmIt is an exciting multi-cultural project that helps students make short documentaries on their city’s heritage. It is organized by The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) every year. It culminates through a FilmIt Festival wherein, overall best movies are screened, and schools are awarded for their efforts. Its primary goal is the conservation and preservation of India’s rich cultural heritage amongst the student community.
This year the students of Vivek High School, under the guidance of Ms. Monica Sharad and Ms. Monika Bajaj, participated in the competition and submitted 5 videos namely, Naqal – A Dying Art, Fateh Burj, Parali – The Other Side of Agriculture, Punjabi Jutti, and Rhythmic Elegance.
We are proud to announce that our school won 3 awards in separate categories.

Fateh Burj – Best Researched Film
Parali – Best Film with a social message
