EDUFEST 2023 – A celebration of limitless learning & Knowledge

Day ONE
Vivek High’s Edu Fest 2023 kicked off on a high note, starting with warm welcome by our principal, Mrs. Renu Puri, where she urged the students to use this opportunity to get a glimpse of their future, followed by the address by two eminent keynote speakers, Mr. Ganesh Kohli and Mr. Aadil Bedi. Their compelling words left the audience mesmerized and filled the atmosphere with newfound motivation.
Mr. Ganesh Kohli is indeed a remarkable individual who has made significant contributions to education and counselling. As the founder of the IC3 (International Career and College Counselling) movement, he has been instrumental in promoting counselling services in schools. Mr. Ganesh Kohli’s address serves as a reminder that success is a personal journey that requires careful consideration, self-discovery, and the courage to chart one’s own course rather than replicating the past of others. He encouraged students to be proactive in their career choices and strive for a path that aligns with their true passions and ambitions. He said we must shift from MRF to RDD i.e., instead of being robotic in our ways, we should research, design, and develop our ideas as human nature is to solve problems, not follow repetitive patterns.
This impactful speech was followed by another equally encouraging one by Mr. Aadil Bedi, an ex-student of the school, who has scaled glorious heights. He talked about the 5 keys towards “success” and how if one aspires to be luxurious, they must align their habits that way. He emphasised that time is our biggest resource and if managed well, will lead us on a path straight to glory.
The words of the teachers brought warmth and positivity to the fest through the video, a perfect beginning to our event. Soon after this, the university representatives were called to introduce themselves and the information of the fourty-four universities was displayed simultaneously.
With 45 Indian universities on the campus, and after several rounds of truly exhilarating discussions and deliberation with the university representatives, the students left the hall ecstatic, eager to take the next step to lay down the path to achieve their goals and aspirations. The university representatives were impressed by the conduct of the students during their discussions and had a lot of fun engaging with them.
The VCareers team ended the first day of the Edu fest on a very successful note, giving us all a glimpse that this was just the very beginning of something glorious.
EDUFEST DAY TWO
“The trouble is you think you have time “
The second day of Edu fest started with a bang and maintained its level during. This day was truly a plethora of information as it began from powerful and inspiring words of the parents of the students of Vivek High. Dr. Ashish Goel, Ms. Kanika Khanna, Ms. Ritika Singh, and Dr. Amit Tuli stressed the importance of utilizing resources effectively and efficiently. They shared information on areas of their expertise like, looking beyond conventional medicine, 21st century entrepreneurial skills, capturing the virtual world and scope and importance of research. Their messages likely carried a special resonance as they were parents themselves, offering a unique perspective on education and career choices.
The students eager to meet the university representatives after their introduction, went to the conference hall to interact with them. Today, our school was honored to welcome 17 overseas universities. The day was filled with merriment and became a joyful occasion for all who attended.
Overall, it appears that the second day of Edu fest continued to provide a wealth of information and inspiration to all participants. The event’s diverse speakers and their valuable insights undoubtedly contributed to making Edu fest 2023 a memorable and enlightening experience for everyone involved.
