Earth Day

Earth Day is a significant global event celebrated annually on April 22nd. It serves as a reminder that we all share responsibility for the health of our planet and that small actions can collectively make a big difference in preserving Earth’s natural resources and ecosystems for future generations.

The Eco Club at Vivek High School organised an Earth Day Assembly on 22nd April to raise environmental awareness and encourage students to take action to safeguard the Earth. The children discussed the significance of Earth Day and issues surrounding plastic waste, as well as how they could assist raise awareness of the situation. Students from classes 9 and 10 performed a play on the theme ‘Planet Vs Plastic’ to sensitise kids against the use of plastics. The school choir also performed a song on our Mother Earth.

As we commemorate Earth Day, let us work together to conserve our planet for future generations. Let this day serve as a springboard for further environmental engagement.
