To emphasize the significance and importance of digital security in our interconnected world, a cyber safety campaign was conducted in our school. It kicked off with a brief introduction during the assembly in the last week of November, coinciding with International Computer Security Week. The campaign commenced with a series of engaging activities organized to promote awareness and understanding of safe online practices among students. of Form
To encourage creativity and reinforce key messages, the theme of the class assignment for classes 4-8, was also aligned with cyber security in the second term, as a part of which, students participated in the booklet and poster-making competitions, where they crafted informative booklets and eye-catching posters on various topics like digital footprints, combating cybercrime, safe cyber practices, etc., advocating for cyber safety. Many students showcased their understanding of cybersecurity through compelling presentations. These presentations not only demonstrated the depth of students’ understanding but also inspired them to take proactive steps towards enhancing their cyber security awareness.
Later, in January, an interactive session was held on various cyber safety issues followed by a quiz session in two rounds for the Binary Matters SUPW club’s senior students where students tested their knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and common online threats.
All these activities not only equipped students with knowledge but also empowered them to become advocates for digital well-being within our school community.
