Ten students from Grade 11 and 12 participated in the first edition of “The Entrepreneurial Edge – 2023” conducted by Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh on 4th and 5th August 2023. This competition tested the critical and strategic thinking skills, adaptability to crisis and capability to overcome challenges in the various events.
- The Biz Quiz – Ruhaan Sood (XI B) and Arnav Bansal (XI A) participated in the competition. They qualified preliminary round based on different topics conducted in 7 rounds. It gave them an opportunity to increase their knowledge on current affairs in the business world.
- Regulae Juris – Team of three members comprising of Manraj Singh Chandpuri & Prabhjot Singh Badwal of Grade XII C and Tanya Garg of Grade XII B participated in this competition which involved legal discourse, debates, and assessments by adjudicators. The team qualified in the Preliminary Round among 27 participating teams. The final round consisted of formal presentation and our team was awarded Runners Up Trophy.
- The Traders Gambit – Yuvraj Singh Rana and Raghav Singla from Grade XII participated in the Mock stock. The event had four consecutive rounds of investments on the basis of graphs, company backgrounds and rumours in the market. There were a total of five fictional companies inspired from real life scenarios of the last decade. The first round started as a crisis and gradually different fluctuations were observed. The team together earned a profit of 10% at the end.
- Company Board Simulation – Deeshita Mittal, Gaurisha Kalra and Riva Joshi from Grade XII B participated in the competition where they were given real-life corporate scenarios and had to come up with strategic solutions to navigate through the complex challenges and restore the companies integrity. The team qualified into the top 7 teams and were eventually declared the WINNERS of the competition.
Deeshita Mittal was awarded the Best Research & Development Manager and Gaurisha Kalra was awarded the Best Sales & Marketing Manager.
Overall, it was a wonderful opportunity for students to obtain exposure to the real business world and exchange ideas.
